The Store Credit Trap: A Nightmare of Blurry Glasses & Terrible Service 😡


I'm writing this as a warning to anyone considering buying glasses online. My experience was a complete nightmare. Let's begin with terrible customer service. Next let's touch on the "110% store credit" that they offer you if THEY mess up your prescription, sounded to good to be true, and it is. You see, if you take that credit, and they send you blurry glasses again, you are OUT of your money, forever. After receiving three consecutive pairs of blurry, unusable glasses and being denied a real refund, I was forced to engage with their customer service to try and get a resolution.

Customer: I've received three separate pairs of glasses, and every single one has the wrong prescription. I can't see out of them. I had to pay another $200 at a local store to get lenses that actually work.

CS Rep: I am very sorry to hear about this frustrating experience. Looking at your account, I see the orders were made using store credit. I can offer to have another pair remade for you.

Customer: Absolutely not. That's the trap. Why would I want a fourth blurry pair? I don't want another exchange or more store credit. I want a full refund for the money I originally paid. You failed to provide a usable product.

CS Rep: I understand your frustration, but as per our policy, purchases made with store credit are not eligible for a cash refund. We can only offer an exchange or more credit.

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
